This quarter, Fill The Fridge! from Rollic Games, Airport Security from Kwalee Ltd, and Tall Man Run from Supersonic Studios Ltd secured the most downloads worldwide on both app stores since their release.

Fill The Fridge! is a popular puzzle game where players need to fill the fridge with objects, groceries, beverages, etc, in the correct and most efficient way. Since its launch, Fill The Fridge! has gained a total of over 45M downloads worldwide on both stores, even surpassing popular games such as Text or Die and Money Rush. Thanks to its growing popularity, the new game is now trending in the Rollic Games portfolio in the USA, while Text or Die and Money Rush are experiencing decreasing downloads.

Airport Security is the new hypercasual hit in the Kwalee Ltd portfolio. The game gives players a position of power, as they take the role of a guard navigating people in an airport. Since its launch, the game has gained an impressive 33.7M downloads, especially on Google Play, which accounts for 85% of its total downloads worldwide.

Tall Man Run has a total of over 28M downloads worldwide. In this game, players collect points, bonuses, and other useful items to grow into a “tall man.” Since the beginning of Q2, Tall Man Run has gained a lot of popularity in the USA, reaching over 1.4M downloads in May only and towering over other popular casual games in Supersonic Studios LTD’s portfolio, such as Going Balls and Giant Wanted.

The highest-grossing mobile game launches this quarter

This quarter, 3 games have seen their revenues skyrocket since their global launch – Diablo Immortal by Blizzard Entertainment, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds by Netmarble Corporation, and Apex Legends Mobile by Electronic Arts.

Diablo Immortal is a multiplayer mobile action role-playing game launched by Blizzard Entertainment this June. This is the first time that the game saga has been launched on mobile platforms, and it’s already a hit. The game has already earned over $63M USD in revenue. The game’s highest-grossing country is the USA ($30.2M), followed by South Korea ($10.26M), and Germany ($5M). Most of Diablo Immortal’s revenues come from the App Store, which accounts for over 67% of its total revenue worldwide.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds follows with 21.2M

The Ni no Kuni saga is picking up steam internationally. After its global launch on 25 May this year, the game gained a total of $21.2M in worldwide revenue. The USA generated the most revenue for this game ($10.36M), followed by the Philippines ($1.3M).

Apex Legends Mobile is a battle royale game launched on 17 May this year. Since its launch, the game has earned a total of $17.13M USD worldwide. The United States is the #1 revenue-generating country for this game, with $7.26M earned on both app stores.

The mobile version of Apex Legends was already gaining momentum before the game’s official launch. Indeed, in early May, players in the US were already searching for the game on iOS devices; AppTweak shows that the keywords “apex legends,” “apex legends mobile,” and “apex mobile” were already top-trending keywords on the App Store. The mobile game brand name “apex legends mobile” gained a 44% increase in impressions in May compared to late April!
